This is the first of my teachings on the healing power of God’s Word. There is so much power in God’s Word than you can imagine. But before we veer fully into this topic, I want you to understand something important as we talk about healing. without which you may not fully comprehend this topic on the healing power of God’s Word.
You Are a Spirit
In Genesis 1:27 the Bible says,
“So God created man in His own image, in the image of Him, made He him, male and female created He them”.
We know that our Lord and Master said in
John 4:24 “God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.”
First, you must understand that God is Spirit, and He says we must worship Him in Spirit and in truth. But many Christians do not know that life is spiritual and man is spiritual too.
God made man in His own image and likeness. The image of God is spirit and not material nor flesh and blood. So as a Christian, until you understand that you are a spirit being and let this truth dawn in your spirit, you can’t enjoy true Christianity.
Since God is Spirit, His image (man) is spiritual. With this knowledge, you can live in Divine health and continue to live in health till Jesus comes. But how do you do that? This is what we shall be looking at.
Acknowledge Who You Are
Man fell short of God’s glory when he disobeyed God But Jesus restored that glory when he took our place on the cross.
You must acknowledge who you are to enjoy good health and keep living in good health. You are a spirit and spirits don’t fall sick. As such you must take what the word of God says concerning you and appropriate it to yourself.
It is written in Romans 12:2 “And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God”.
You see, we all have been made to believe human science. As such we live as though we are just flesh and blood but in reality we are spirit brings.
Our minds are spiritual and not part of our physical body. We were told in school that the mind is in the brain but this is not true. If you open the human brain, you will not find the mind there. So renewing our minds to confirm with God’s Word is what we need to live healthy.
In line with Romans 12:2, you need to renew your mind and see yourself as spiritual and not a body.
Spirits don’t fall.sick, so you don’t have to be sick. Know this, believe it and become conscious of it.
You Are One With God
Another very important truth to live in Divine health is the reality of your oneness with God.
Before Jesus came to the Earth, the Jews revered God so much that they never called Him Father. But Jesus taught us how to pray and call God “Our Father”.
That is because Jesus came to reveal the love of God to humanity. He made us understand that God is not just our Creator but we can actually call Him Father . That is how much He loves us.
We are made to understand that the wall of partition between us and God has been removed by the death and resurrection of Jesus.
Now we have become one with God. He came into our spirit and made us alive when we believed in Jesus.
First Corinthians 6:17 declares that those of us who are united with God are one spirit with Him.

Everyone who believes in Jesus has one spirit: an infusion of God’s spirit and his/her spirit.
If you want to experience the healing power of God’s word, you must know who you are as a Christian. You are one with God.
This knowledge will bring healing to every part of your body and keep you healthy always.
Experience the Healing Power of God by Being God – conscious.
God consciousness cannot be over emphasized if you want to live healthy as a Christian.
Anyone who owns something he is not aware of will never enjoy what he has. That’s because he is ignorant of what He has.
Until you become conscious of the truth about your relationship with God. You will never experience His life in your body. So become conscious of God.
Understanding the Healing Power of God’s Word.
To receive healing through the Word of God, all you need is to understand what the Word says about you.
There are several verses in the Bible for healing but it all depends on your understanding. One of such verses is the one I cited from 1 Corinthians 6:17.
When you understand what it means to have one spirit with God, healing will take place because your mind is being renewed by the Word of God. And now you know that you are one spirit with God.
The Spirit of God that came into your spirit is the same Holy Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead.
That is the resurrection power that brought Jesus back to life. So imagine God’s spirit in yours, permeating your whole body.
What do you think will happen? Every part of your body will come alive because that same spirit restored life to the body of Jesus.
And this brings us to Romans 8:11. Which says,
“if the Spirit of Him that raised Jesus from the dead dwell in you. He that raise up Christ from the dead will quicken your mortal bodies”.
This is the basis of Christianity, the resurrection life. It is the essence of Christianity.
Without the resurrection, Christianity would be a dead religion. But to God be the glory, Jesus is alive. For this reason, we all can live the God – Life here on Earth before Jesus comes.
Acknowledge that You Have Eternal Life
You have eternal life now as a Christian. Understand and become conscious and meditate on this truth till you become full of it.
1 John 5:11-12 says, “And this is the record that God has given us eternal life, this life is in His son, He that has the son has life. He that hath not the son of God, hath not life”
This is huge! You received eternal Life: the Life of God, when you believed in Jesus.
Why should you suffer like every other person in the world? When Jesus paid for your sin, sickness and disease?
Salvation through the Gospel of Christ, is not only about being saved from sin. It covers all aspects of our lives.
Your faith in Christ exempts you from sickness and disease. You are different from every other person in the world. You now have eternal life in your members. Know this and believe it without any atom of doubt.
As I round up, this message, I want you to look within you. God dwells in you by His spirit, so know this and let it sink into your being.
Lay your hand where you have any health challenge as I pray for you now.
I command every form of sickness and disease to leave that body now, Christ dwells in that body, therefore there is no room for you infirmity. Get out in Jesus name. .Amen.
Believe that you are healed. So keep meditating on any of the verses I cited in this message, keep speaking to yourself.with it and thank God for your healing.
